With a landmark location and roots in Minneapolis’ history, Riverplace is a four-building office campus at the confluence of downtown Minneapolis, the scenic Mississippi River, and the vibrant Northeast community. Envisioning a modernized workplace for a generation of entrepreneurs and changemakers fueled by collaboration, productivity, and creativity, its new owners set out to transform the campus.

The Main Hall

The first of the buildings to be renovated, the Main Hall and its characteristic atrium are a symbol of Northeast Minneapolis. Honoring tradition while making space for the future, we peeled back ornamentation and elements that obstructed current usefulness of the space. Our team couldn’t help but lean into the green in the atrium. It speaks of the locale – the Hennepin Bridge, Nicollet Island Inn, the steeple at Our Lady of Lourdes – all adorned in the green of St. Anthony Main.

“I don’t live here because I’m mayor, I choose to live in the neighborhood voluntarily because it’s the best place to live and now it’s the best place to live, and to work and to hang out in these incredible buildings and in this beautiful plaza”

-JACOB FREY, MINNEAPOLIS MAYOR

The Studio

Unlike the historic features preserved in The Main Hall, The Studio offers a more contemporary atmosphere with modern finishes like open ceilings, concrete floors, and overhead garage doors.

The Studio specifically was designed to target start- ups or smaller businesses that needed to be frugal in their real estate investment but wanted a connection to an office community and access to amenities.  It had the benefit of accessing the amenities throughout the campus but the privacy of being across the street to give tenants more autonomy of how they used the common spaces.
